Vacations. Home. Oh well…dream on. Ever since I’ve decided to turn my life up side down two years ago, I have a feeling that the Karma is saying: Dream on girl, when it comes to taking vacations. I don’t know why, but every time I have plans for vacations, something happens that makes me cancel them. I was so looking forward to these. I was counting down the days, plan picnics, and time off … oh well, nope.
The good thing that came of all of this were of course awesome experiences, but also knowledge that I have a sister from another mother that I can always count on.
I took time to read and hike – more or less alone, which was, surprisingly, amazing.
First on my list was Logarska dolina.
This is what they say about it on the page:
The Logar Valley is one of the most beautiful Alpine glacial valleys in Europe. It extends into the Kamnik-Savinja Alps from the north. A part of the Solčavsko region, tradition and nature have found harmony here, serving as a good example of sustainable development. As an added value to agriculture and forestry, tourism offers an opportunity for relaxation in the peaceful ambience of the landscape park as well as hiking, cycling, horseback riding, photo hunting, etc. The park has received a Future in the Alps Award from CIPRA for the successful management of a protected area.
I was a bit annoyed by the fact that you have to pay in order to see it, but the nature makes you forget it all. I’ll leave you to the photos of this gorgeous quiet part of my country.
Until next time,
